My PG Life @ UPES!!!

Gulping down breakfast without taking shower, wear my uniform with my untied TIE and some deodorant and leave for university, speeding downstairs from my room to catch my last bus. At the parking questioning my roomies about locking my room door giving myself a final look and set your hair in the rear-view mirror, then enter my class after meeting some friends, 15 minutes after the lecture has begun, trying to select the last bench but end up sadly in middle row as it will already be full (tight competition for the best seat of the class haha) and patiently wait only to sign the attendance sheet.

Almost all of us keep gazing at the professor but with our minds somewhere down in the cafeteria Green bench(as we call it) or at the door, waiting for `that someone' to come or thinking of that special appointment we have on that day. There are a handful of sincere (pretending) first-bench-students, who attend each and every lecture and have all the detailed notes(neva minded to have one), which the outstanding guys like me, (who are always standing out) can photocopy a few days before the examinations. Joking and gossiping from behind or playing cross and knots in the most boring lecture during which half the class is already snoring, were some of the methods adopted to kill time. By the end of the lecture, everyone is restless and keeps glancing at their watches. The professor mercilessly continues teaching.

Submissions is the only time I get to see all my classmates, who are those familiar faces that we often saw inside the campus but not inside the classes.

Being a great CR of my class i was the most irregular student in entire batch. During winter (nearly 2 deg) it's fun , to sip a nice hot cup of soup, hiding out inside our blazers, exchanging secret smiles and then telling my friends about latest campus gossips. We had a favourite quote written on the walls transliterated in Tamil
“ஹிந்தி ஹிந்தி எவெரீ வேர் நாட் அ வர்ட் டு அஂடர்ஸ்டண்ட்” .

The thrill of bunking lectures, the fun of partying or going for trips and picnics, the joy when my friends receive the long desired `yes' from the one they have always loved, or the embarrassment of facing the person we were talking about, who all the while was standing just beside us, are truly unforgettable.

The Freshers day, the Uurja days (culturals) and gathering(like spl Holi celebrations), are the most awaited days in the college when every boy and girl `dress-to-kill' and have a gala time. Hey! cant forget Friendship day, Valentines day and other days for expressing our feelings.

I will never forget my college years(Both my UG and PG), they have been the best years in my life till now. I have seen, learnt and experienced so much.

I have found friends, some didn't care and drifted apart. I will always remember my favourite place in college, my professors, all my friends, those innocent and decent faces of people who turned out to be devils in disguise. All the twists in the kaleidoscope of life are experiences that have helped me mature. I will cherish them forever.

Gona miss u all... !!!!!!!!!

"Solitude"-- My first creation

There was a loveliest time in my life when
I thought you were for me.
Found an empty place within you
for my heart to stay alive.
It’s a place where I discovered
my inspiration and drive
I never saw any flaws in my choice;
Well I guess I didn't see.

I kept on telling myself that you
Will change your views and ways.
But you proved me wrong
Each and every single day.
So much time on my hands,
Spending the hours of my solitude
Trying hard to understand,
Whether words are just words
which hold no meaning to the ones
who don't feel and don't care.

Alas the pain I feel is joyful though
leaving a burning sensation deep within
Not a mistake, but a regrettable fun or unforgiving sin
Not a hidden secret of a fruitless past
abandoned and left behind like snake's skin
Not lost hopes, or shattered dreams never came to be
Though certain of the reasons and causes
The rose falls apart and dies without rain.
